LYFTALABS SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
Last updated: 11 August 2026
Thank you for shopping with LyftaLabs™.
This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped and delivered within South Africa.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any rights that a consumer has under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act"), or any other applicable South African law.
Where this Policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of South African law, the applicable law will prevail.
1. DELIVERY AREA
LyftaLabs currently delivers to addresses within South Africa.
Orders are generally delivered using Aramex Store-to-Door or another courier service selected by LyftaLabs where reasonably necessary.
Delivery availability may depend on the customer's location and the courier's delivery network.
2. ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIME
Our standard estimated delivery period is:
5-10 business days
unless otherwise stated on the product page, checkout page or order confirmation.
Business days are Tuesdays to Fridays , excluding South African public holidays.
The 5-10 business day period is an estimated delivery timeframe and not a guaranteed delivery date, except where LyftaLabs has expressly agreed with the customer that delivery will occur on a specific date.
Delivery times may vary depending on:
-
the customer's location;
-
courier capacity;
-
public holidays;
-
severe weather;
-
road closures or disruptions;
-
incorrect or incomplete delivery information;
-
circumstances affecting courier networks;
-
unusually high order volumes; or
-
other circumstances reasonably outside LyftaLabs' control.
3. ORDER PROCESSING
Once your order has been successfully placed and payment has been confirmed, LyftaLabs will begin processing your order.
Customers will receive an order confirmation using the contact details supplied during checkout.
Once an order has been handed to the courier, tracking information may be provided where available.
Processing and delivery periods should be considered together when estimating when your parcel will arrive.
4. COURIER SERVICE
LyftaLabs primarily uses:
Aramex Store-to-Door
for domestic deliveries.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that delivery will be performed by an independent third-party courier service.
Although we take reasonable steps to select and work with reliable courier providers, courier delivery times may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
5. COURIER DELAYS
LyftaLabs will make reasonable efforts to have orders delivered within the estimated 5-10 business day timeframe.
However, delays may occur after an order has entered the courier network.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, LyftaLabs will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from a delivery delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
This may include, for example:
-
lost income;
-
missed appointments;
-
missed events;
-
inconvenience; or
-
other consequential losses resulting from a courier delay.
This clause does not remove any right that you may have under the CPA, ECT Act or other applicable law to require delivery, cancel an order or obtain a refund where legally entitled to do so.
If your order is significantly delayed, please contact us and we will assist in investigating the shipment with the courier.
6. DELIVERY OBLIGATIONS
Where applicable, LyftaLabs will comply with its delivery obligations under South African consumer law.
For online transactions governed by section 46 of the ECT Act, orders must be executed within the period agreed between LyftaLabs and the customer or otherwise within the statutory period required by law.
If LyftaLabs is unable to fulfil an order within the applicable period, the customer retains any cancellation or refund rights provided by law.
7. TRACKING INFORMATION
Where tracking is available, customers will receive a tracking number or tracking link once their order has been dispatched.
Tracking information may take some time to update after the courier receives the parcel.
The courier's tracking system is operated independently from LyftaLabs, and temporary tracking delays or incorrect tracking scans do not necessarily mean that the parcel has been lost.
If your tracking has not updated for an unusually long period, please contact us.
8. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR DELIVERY INFORMATION
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information when placing an order.
This includes:
-
full name;
-
correct street address;
-
suburb;
-
city or town;
-
postal code;
-
province;
-
telephone number; and
-
any access information reasonably required for delivery.
Please check your details carefully before completing checkout.
LyftaLabs will not be responsible for delays resulting directly from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.
9. INCORRECT DELIVERY ADDRESSES
If you notice an error in your delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will attempt to correct the address before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once the order has been handed to the courier.
Where a parcel must be redirected or re-delivered because the customer supplied an incorrect address, the customer may be responsible for reasonable additional courier charges to the extent permitted by law.
10. FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
Customers must make reasonable arrangements to receive their order at the delivery address provided.
If the courier is unable to complete delivery because:
-
nobody is available to receive the parcel;
-
the courier cannot obtain access to the premises;
-
the customer cannot be contacted;
-
the address provided is incorrect or incomplete; or
-
delivery is refused without lawful reason,
additional delivery charges may apply where permitted by law.
11. UNCLAIMED OR RETURNED PARCELS
If a parcel is returned to LyftaLabs because the customer:
-
supplied an incorrect address;
-
failed to accept delivery;
-
could not be contacted after reasonable delivery attempts; or
-
otherwise failed to make reasonable arrangements to receive the order,
LyftaLabs may require payment of reasonable additional shipping costs before the parcel is dispatched again.
Any refund or deduction associated with such a return will be handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer law and our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy.
12. LOST PARCELS
If tracking information indicates that a parcel may have been lost, please contact LyftaLabs so that we can open an investigation with the courier.
Customers should not be required to resolve a courier claim directly where responsibility for delivery remains with LyftaLabs under applicable law.
Where a parcel is confirmed as lost before it has been delivered to the customer, LyftaLabs will provide the appropriate remedy required by law, which may include replacement or refund.
13. DAMAGED PARCELS
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the packaging and product as soon as reasonably possible.
Please contact us with:
-
your order number;
-
photographs of the parcel;
-
photographs of the damaged product; and
-
a description of the problem.
We will assess the matter in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy and applicable South African law.
14. RISK DURING DELIVERY
Where applicable under South African law, goods remain at LyftaLabs' risk until the customer has accepted delivery.
The use of a third-party courier does not remove any responsibility that the law places on LyftaLabs as the supplier.
Once goods have been lawfully delivered and accepted by the customer, responsibility for subsequent loss, theft or damage ordinarily passes to the customer, subject to applicable law.
15. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
A shipment may be regarded as delivered where the courier records delivery to:
-
the delivery address supplied by the customer;
-
the customer;
-
a person reasonably authorised to receive the parcel at that address; or
-
another location specifically authorised by the customer,
subject to applicable South African law.
If tracking shows that your order has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that the delivery can be investigated.
16. DELAYS CAUSED BY EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
Delivery may occasionally be affected by events that LyftaLabs could not reasonably prevent or control.
These may include:
-
severe weather;
-
flooding;
-
fires;
-
natural disasters;
-
strikes or industrial action;
-
civil unrest;
-
road closures;
-
transport interruptions;
-
electricity or communications failures;
-
government restrictions;
-
courier network disruptions; or
-
other similar events beyond our reasonable control.
Where such an event occurs, delivery may take longer than the normal estimated timeframe.
LyftaLabs will not be liable for delays caused solely by such events except to the extent that liability or a consumer remedy cannot legally be excluded.
17. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND PEAK PERIODS
Delivery may take longer during:
-
Black Friday;
-
Christmas and New Year;
-
major promotional events;
-
South African public holidays; or
-
periods of unusually high courier demand.
Any revised delivery estimates will be communicated where reasonably possible.
18. SHIPPING FEES
Any applicable delivery charge will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
Promotional free-shipping offers may be subject to conditions displayed with the relevant promotion.
19. CHANGES TO ORDERS AFTER DISPATCH
Once an order has been dispatched, we may be unable to:
-
change the delivery address;
-
change the delivery method;
-
add products to the shipment; or
-
cancel the shipment before delivery.
Any statutory right to cancel or return an order remains unaffected.
20. ORDER CANCELLATIONS
If you would like to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us immediately.
Where cancellation is legally permitted, refunds will be processed in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy and applicable South African law.
Once an order has entered the courier network, it may no longer be possible to intercept it.
This does not affect any statutory cooling-off or cancellation right that applies to the transaction.
21. SOUTH AFRICAN CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in this Shipping & Delivery Policy is intended to:
-
exclude a customer's rights under the Consumer Protection Act;
-
exclude rights under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act;
-
transfer to the customer a delivery risk that legally rests with LyftaLabs;
-
prevent a customer from cancelling an order where cancellation is permitted by law; or
-
exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful.
LyftaLabs reserves all rights available to it under South African law while fully respecting the statutory rights of its customers.
